Mexico Tourism Board Will be Global Development Sponsor at ARDA Timeshare Convention

ARDA timeshare, the American Resort Development Association and Mexico’s National Trust for Tourism Promotion (FONATUR) have announced an alignment of their organizations in presenting this year’s ARDA World Convention. The event is to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Howard Nusbaum, president and CEO of the ARDA timeshare association explains, “We’re delighted to welcome FONATUR as our Global Development Sponsor for the 2012 ARDA Convention, the industry’s largest gathering of shared vacation ownership professionals. With our international development focus at this year’s ARDA Convention, this is the ideal opportunity to provide information and access to the growing Mexico market.”
FONATUR will present educational programming on resort and timeshare resort development in Mexico, as well as offering a product display in the ARDA World Convention Exposition Center. FONATUR, which marked its 30th anniversary in 2004, works to support the infrastructure behind modern tourism in Mexico, recognizing that tourism plays a powerful role in the Mexican economy, creating jobs and investment opportunities, as well as cultural exposure for a global market of vacationers, travelers, and timeshare owners. Over the years, FONATUR has helped cultivate tourism development in Mexico’s top beach resort areas of Los Cabos, Cancun, Ixtapa, Loreto, and the Bays of Huatulco.
