Interval International Signs Long-Term Contract with Plaza Hotéis

Yesterday, Interval International announced that they have entered a long-term affiliation agreement with the Brazilian-based vacation club Plaza Hotéis.
The contract will allow Interval International members to exchange their timeshare weeks for reservations at the six Plaza Hotéis locations.
Superintendent director for Plaza Hotéis, Carlos Henrique Schmidt said,
“As one of Brazil’s leading hotel brands, Plaza Hotéis takes pride in superior quality standards. Our decision to partner with Interval was based on its like-minded commitment to top-notch service. We are confident that our vacation club members will appreciate the opportunity to exchange with the outstanding Interval resorts around the world.”
In 2014, Interval International has worked to include more Latin American resorts in their affiliation network. Travelers are looking for new and exciting destinations throughout Latin America, including Brazil.
Interval’s senior VP of resort sales and business development for Latin America, Marcos Agostini, shared, “Including this affiliation, we have added 13 Brazilian resorts to Interval’s global network since opening our office in São Paulo in 2012. This is a clear indication that Interval will continue to play a significant role in the region’s rapidly growing and dynamic shared ownership industry.”
The resorts included in the Interval affiliation agreement include:
- Plaza São Rafael Hotel and Plaza Porto Alegre Hotel in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul
- Plaza Itapema Resort & Spa in Itapema, Santa Catarina
- Plaza Blumenau Hotel in Blumenau, Santa Catarina
- Plaza Caldas da Imperatriz Resort & Spa in Santo Amaro da Imperatriz, Santa Catarina
- Plaza Florianópolis Hotel in Florianopolis, Santa Catarina
- Bahia Plaza Hotel in Camaçari, Bahia
The majority of the Plaza Hotéis resorts are located in the southern regions of Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina. This area contains some of Brazil’s most popular travel destinations. The region contains historic cities, white-sand beaches, gorgeous jungles, and a unique blend of Latin and European cultures.
