DVC Announces the Opening of Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows

DVC Polynesian Bungalows

The Disney Vacation Club (DVC) has announced that the new bungalows at Disney’s Polynesian Resort will open on April 1, 2015.
The “Bora Bora” Bungalows are part of the newest development for the Disney timeshare program and have been under construction for the past year.

In a recent press release, Senior VP and general manager of Disney Vacation Club, Ken Potrock said, “We’re looking forward to welcoming families to this enchanting new resort, located just a quick monorail ride from Magic Kingdom Park.”

Current DVC owners will have the first opportunity to purchase the new timeshare property on January 12th. The general public will have to wait to purchase their points after February 9th.

The bungalows will feature two-bedroom suite accommodations. Each bungalow will sleep up to eight and include two full baths, a kitchen, dining room, and living room. The décor will combine the traditional look of the Polynesian resort with more modern pieces.

Each bungalow will also feature a private deck and small pool. Besides the luxury of a private pool deck, here guests can also view the Magic Kingdom fireworks display across the Seven Seas Lagoon. Disney has even provided the option to listen to the musical accompaniment from the deck. The Electrical Water Pageant, a Disney water parade, can also be seen here.

In addition to the bungalows, DVC also built 360 Deluxe Studio Villas. While the studios will not feature all the benefits of the bungalows, they will include a kitchenette and two bathroom areas. Each studio will sleep up to five guests.

New buyers of Disney’s Polynesian will have first pick at reservations, but soon all other DVC members will have the opportunity to book at the new villas. Potential buyers also have the option to purchase a Disney timeshare resale and use their points to travel to the new property, after a waiting period. Buying a timeshare on the resale market will allow you to enjoy all the benefits of the Disney Vacation Club, but at a much more affordable purchase price.
