Velas Resorts Receive AAA Five Diamond Awards

Mexico’s Velas Resorts is happy to announce that they have received multiple AAA Five Diamond awards for 2015.
In the resorts category, the Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit and the Grand Velas Riviera Maya were both granted AAA Five Diamond status.
The Grand Velas Riviera Maya’s fine dining restaurant, Cocina de Autor, also collected the Five Diamond rating for excellence in quality and service. Led by Chefs Bruno Oteiza and Mike Alonso, Cocina de Autor is the only all-inclusive resort restaurant to ever receive the AAA Five Diamond award in AAA’s 100 year history. This is the second consecutive year that Cocina de Autor has received this honor.
Several other Velas Resorts restaurants received the AAA Four Diamond Award including Casa Velas’ restaurant, Emiliano. This is the first year that the Emiliano received a AAA award.
The Grand Velas Resorts’ affiliated property Casa Velas was also honored with the AAA Four Diamond Award. With these additions, the timeshare group currently has 43 AAA Diamonds.

It is our number one priority to make sure we live up to these same standards each and every day to ensure our guests receive the highest level of service and dining options.”
AAA evaluates over 28,000 resorts and 30,000 restaurants every year. Out of these candidates, only less than one-half of a percent receive the Five Diamond award.
