AMResorts Acquires New Resort in Costa Rica

This week, AMResorts®, a subsidiary of Apple Leisure Group®, announced that they have acquired the Secrets® Papagayo Resort & Spa in Costa Rica.
This is AMResort’s third deal in 2015 and their second resort in Costa Rica. The timeshare group added their first Costa Rican resort in 2014, the Dreams® Las Mares Costa Rica.

AMResorts acquired the former Hilton Papagayo Costa Rica Resort & Spa on February 28, 2015. The resort will operate as the Papagayo Resort & Spa until May. At that time, the resort will close for renovations and become one of AMResort’s Unlimited-Luxury® resorts.
The biggest item on the list is upgrading the resort’s 202 units to luxury suites. After that, the common areas of the resort will undergo a complete renovation. AMResorts plans to redesign the lobby, restaurants, and resort grounds.
This location will join the group’s line of all-inclusive, adults-only resorts. While attending the resort, guests can enjoy endless food, beverages, room service, beach and pool wait service, and spa treatments.
