Diamond Resorts Invitational Featured on NBC’s Golf Channel

Diamond Resorts International^® has announced that the 3rd Annual Brian Gay Invitational will be featured live on the Golf Channel. The tournament, benefiting Florida Hospital for Children, will take place in January 2016 at The Golden Bear Club in Windermere, Florida.

The week-long affair will feature entertainment, concerts, excursions, and the main event—a 54-hole celebrity golf tournament. First, Diamond Resorts International^® will host the celebrity-amateur tournament, where each foursome will feature three amateurs and one celebrity.

Amatuer prizes will include the chance to win a Platinum timeshare membership in THE Club^® at Diamonds Resorts International^®. The top-ten amateurs from this event will get the chance to compete in the main tournament alongside celebrity players at the end of the week.

Celebrities featured in the tournaments include both sports and entertainment stars. These celebrities will compete for a $500,000 purse. In the past, the Brian Gay Invitational has attracted celebrities such as: Johnny Damon, Marcus Allen, Roger Clemens, Reggie Jackson, Mark Rypien, Richard Dent, Tim Wakefield, Frank Viola, Troy Glaus, Kevin MIllar, Gaylord Perry, and John Smoltz.

The tournament will be broadcast live, and then replayed during primetime January 18–20, 2016. Diamond Resorts International^® will also host a gala at Mystic Dunes Resort and Golf Club at the end of the invitational. This gala will include dinner, awards, and a special concert. No announcements have been made about this year’s performance, but last year, country star Darius Rucker performed.

In addition to the tournaments and gala, Diamond will also be hosting a sweepstakes. The Diamond Resorts Golf Sweepstakes will allow a lucky contestant to win a 5 day/6 night trip to the Mystic Dunes Resort and Golf Club. The prize package also includes two rounds of golf for two people.
