Festiva Celebrates 15th Anniversary

This year, Festiva celebrates their 15th anniversary. To commemorate this important milestone, they held an event at their first property, Festiva’s Ellington at Wachesaw on October 26th.

Festiva Resorts was founded in 2000 by co-founders Don Clayton and Herbert “Butch” Patrick. Since then, the timeshare company has grown to include 24 resorts around the U.S. and Caribbean.

The founders attribute much of their success to their excellent employees. The company believes in treating everyone like family, including employees and their guests. In fact, many employees, including the Ellington’s veteran front desk manager Caraline Bledsoe’s share that they enjoy catching up with Festiva owners that return to their resort year after year.

Patrick shares, “While hard work and some smarts were critical to our success, there were numerous partners and wonderful employees who played a large role in making Festiva what it is today.”

Festiva operates a variety of vacation ownership lines including: Festiva Adventure Club, Resort Travel & Xchange, Festiva Sailing Vacations, and ETourandTravel. These subsidiaries allow members to choose the type of ownership that best fits their needs.

Patrick continues, “Only 24% of all business startups from 2000 remain in operation today. Considering this sobering statistic, we should all be proud of our staying power and look forward to the next 15 years.
