Interval International Adds Cortona Manor House & Spa to Affiliated Resorts

The world’s second largest timeshare exchange company has added yet another affiliated resort to its catalogue. Interval International recently announced that Cortona Manor House & Spa in Umbria, Italy will now be available to their members. The Tuscany resort is located near one of the oldest hill towns in the region, and offers a rustic vacation experience in the heart of one of Italy’s most popular destinations.
The Cortona Manor House was built in the 18th century and originally served as a stable and rest stop for tired travelers, and then a customs house on the border of the papal state. It was restored using eco-friendly materials, and much of the original wood, tiles, and fireplaces were preserved to keep the resort’s rustic, historic atmosphere alive.
Darren Ettridge, Senior VP of Resort Sales and Business Development for Interval’s Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia markets said, “This 300-year old property is the perfect base from which our members can explore some of the most impressive sights and attractions in the Tuscany and Umbria regions, including the cities of Florence and Siena.”
Indeed, the Cortona Manor House & Spa is a departure from typical timeshare resorts. Many of the larger resorts, while incorporating spectacular unit accommodations and on-site amenities, can be quite large and busy. The Cortona Manor House is comprised of a handful of luxury apartments outfitted with living and dining areas, kitchenettes, flat screen TV’s, free WiFi, and private outdoor areas in select units.
