Maui’s Newest Resort To Open April 2017

Resting on 16 oceanfront acres of North Ka’anapali Beach, the Westin Nanea Ocean Villas is set to open its doors on April 15, 2017. Westin Nanea is currently confirming reservations for May 1, 2017. In tow with their name (“nanea” means relaxation in Hawaiian), the resort will provide its guests with the calming, immersive atmosphere of ancient Hawaiian culture. The resort will be open two and a half months ahead of schedule.

The Westin Nanea Ocean Villas will be comprised of one-, two-, and three-bedroom villas and will be designed as a relaxing haven with culturally inspired programs and authentic Hawaiian experiences. The resort will operate under the careful guidance of the resort’s director of culture, Makalapua Kanuha, ensuring that Hawaiian culture will be accurately engrained in the design elements throughout the property. At the heart of the resort, the Pu’uhonua o Nanea Cultural Center will feature innovative and educational cultural offerings honoring local history, language, art, crafts, music, and dance.

Each of the villas will offer necessary accommodations and amenities including king -size signature Westin Heavenly Beds in the master bedroom and Westin Heavenly Baths with showers, bathtubs, and vanities. The living rooms feature sleeper sofas and lanais, the kitchens come fully equipped, and there is even a washer/dryer. Outside the gorgeous villas are a world of top-notch resort features including a lagoon-style swimming pool, children’s beach pool and play area, oceanfront cabanas, and a WestinWORKOUT Fitness Studio. Mauka Makai Restaurant features dishes that stay true to the farming and fishing cultures of ancient Hawai’i. The Inu Pool Bar also provides a nice area to sip cocktails, enjoy lighter fare, and watch the ocean right from the barstools.
