Dubai Timeshare Industry Set to Expand in 2017

Dubai Timeshare

One of the most electrifying destinations in the Middle East, Dubai has become one of the world’s most popular and in-demand travel locations. Despite its relentlessly growing popularity, the city’s number of timeshare resorts has remained tame. However, with plans for even more attractions, the Dubai timeshare industry is set to see a rapid increase this year, with projections showing a growth rate of 50 percent.

Arabian Falcon Holidays, one of the biggest companies in the Middle East timeshare industry, predicts the impact of changing legislation from the UAE government will enable the timeshare market in Dubai to grow exponentially in the future, especially as the city adds more family friendly attractions like theme parks. Travelers from Africa who own timeshares with AFH already prefer Dubai, as they seek out destinations that welcome family holidays.

Mohannad Sharafuddin, the founder of Arabian Falcon Holidays, said:

“Efforts of the UAE government in strengthening its economic ties with the African countries prove to yield mutual benefits. One of the vital reasons behind the dynamic UAE-African relations is the robust role of Dubai. This is reflected through an increase in a number of African tourists coming to the country as a result of more direct flights and easier visa regulations.”

200,000 Nigerians traveled to Dubai in 2015, and AFN plans to attract travelers from other African nations, such as Angola, Kenya, and Tanzania.

Combine those statistics with a report from Interval International, which stated Dubai could transform into an elite timeshare destination with the likes of Las Vegas and Orlando, and the potential for Dubai timeshare to expand seems imminent. The timeshare exchange company also predicted that if just five percent of the city’s 100,000 hotel rooms were converted to timeshare units, it would equal nearly $5 billion in sales revenue.

Sharafuddin concluded by stating:

“Visiting Dubai serves as an aspiration for many travellers from various parts of the world. It has just about everything for every category of traveller. The timeshare industry can support in further making Dubai more attractive, economical and accessible in order to encourage travellers, especially those with families, to visit the dynamic emirate year after year. We look forward to the enactment of a new legislation that would bring confidence in the timeshare market and maintain a fair balance between the interests of both customers and operators.”
