Vistana Signature Experiences Opens New Maui Resort

Timeshare resort developer Vistana Signature Experiences recently announced the grand opening of the highly-anticipated Westin Nanea Ocean Villas in Maui. Located in Ka’anapali, the oceanfront resort occupies 16 acres on North Ka’anapali Beach. The newest addition to Maui timeshare resorts, the Westin Nanea opened its doors to guests on April 15th.

The opening of the resort was commemorated with a traditional Hawaiian blessing, customary for vacation resorts such as the Nanea. The ceremony included a symbolic maile lei untying to properly welcome the resort into the community. Complete with one-, two-, and three-bedroom villas, the Westin Nanea Ocean Villas include a Hawaiian-inspired design and a cultural center dedicated to educating guests about local history, customs, and traditions of the Hawaiian people.

Steve Williams, chief operating officer for Vistana Signature Experiences, spoke to the importance of prioritizing Hawaiian tradition and culture within the resort:

“Maui is one of the world’s most desirable destinations, and we are excited to open our doors to this extraordinary resort. The Westin Nanea Ocean Villas is a truly unique resort that combines Hawai’i’s rich heritage with the aloha spirit for which the islands are known.”

In addition to the cultural center and world-class ownership suites, the Westin Nanea Ocean Villas include a number of high-quality on-site amenities characteristic of a luxurious beachside retreat. A lagoon-style swimming pool with covered cabanas and a hot tub make up the swimming area, accented by the full-service fitness center. The Mauka Makai restaurant features a menu of farm-to-table dining options, while the Inu Pool Bar is available for guests to grab a quick drink or snack. Guests at the Nanea can also enjoy the health spa at the neighboring Westin Ka’anapali resort.

Chris Rabang, general manager of the Westin Nanea, went into detail about the resort’s purpose and mission:
