El Cid Resorts Receive RCI Gold Crown Rating

Mexico-based El Cid Resorts saw all of its properties receive RCI’s distinguished Gold Crown rating, marking favorable amenities and high-quality services. The chain’s rare feat of earning the award for all of its resorts was accompanied by each property also receiving the Excellence in Service award, a representation of El Cid’s commitment to guests and timeshare owners.

The RCI Gold Crown rating signifies excellence among properties affiliated with the timeshare exchange giant. As RCI’s top distinction, resorts must meet very specific quality requirements based on reviews by RCI members and an evaluation of resort facilities. The Excellence in Service award is only given to 3% of RCI-affiliated resorts across the globe, and recognizes extraordinary services for guests and owners.

The timeshare exchange giant bestowed the Gold Crown rating on all of the popular El Cid Vacations Club resorts in Mexico for the first time ever this year. Among those earning the high rating were the Marina Beach Hotel & Yacht Club, the Granada Hotel & Country Club, El Moro Beach Hotel, the Hotel Marina El Cid Spa & Beach Resort, and La Ceiba Beach Hotel. All five of the El Cid resorts boast oceanfront locations, excellent dining options, and luxury accommodations in Mazatlan and Riviera Maya.

Additionally, the El Cid El Moro Beach Hotel received extra recognition for earning the Gold Crown rating for 25 straight years, a rare achievement only earned by a handful of properties. Carlos Berdegue, president and CEO of El Cid resorts, spoke to the momentousness of the awards:
