Velas Resorts Debuts Renovations to and Opening of the Mar del Cabo Hotel

Award-winning Velas Resorts has just opened its sixth resort in their network and its only European Plan boutique hotel, Mar del Cabo Hotel. Formerly Marbella Suites, this property has undergone $4 million in renovations to welcome their guests and owners.
Located in Mexico on the Baja Peninsula halfway between San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, Mar del Cabo Hotel has been designed with stylish minimalism and comfort in mind.
It’s home to 46 one- and two-bedroom suites as well as two penthouses. The units offer spacious floor plans with features like king or two queen size beds, terraces, living areas, step in rain showers, and kitchenettes with coffee makers and microwave ovens. The units were created as bright, white spaces with pops of color inspired by its surrounding landscape, such as the beautiful blue of the Sea of Cortez and the area’s golden beaches.
In addition to the updated accommodations, the resort also includes a handful of incredible on-site amenities. Guests can find an array of top-notch services as the Oceanfront Spa, have drinks at the premium bar, hang out near the pool that overlooks the beach, and even host private events at their outdoor spaces.
