Newly Designed JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa Guest Rooms Have Been Revealed

Marriott International’s brand JW Marriott has just announced the completion of their extensive renovations to the JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa. These upgrades have included changes to all 447 ocean view guest rooms and suites that are decked out with high-end finishes and a Mayan-inspired theme.

JW Marriott VP and Global Brand Leader Mitzi Gaskins stated:

“We are excited to introduce JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa’s reimagined look to our guests, offering them an enriching and luxurious experience from the moment they check in. Situated on the pristine beaches of the Caribbean, the hotel incorporates elements that reflect the calming vibe of the destination allowing guests to feel at ease and at home in the bright and spacious new guestrooms.”

In collaboration with G+G Interiorismo, the JW Marriott Cancun has brought together both traditional elements and their signature modern style to create a luxurious getaway for guests. Color palettes have been inspired by the surrounding landscape and many furniture pieces, including textures, are inspired by ancient Mayan designs. The hotel utilized local artisans to capture the culture of the area through their traditional materials and artwork to be combined with their lavish accommodation features like freestanding soaking tubs, rainfall showers, and chrome details.

Guests who stay in the 4,000 square-foot Presidential Suite will enjoy floor-to-ceiling windows, ample sunlight, a full kitchen, a large dining room, and stunning ceramic tiles chosen by the well-known Spanish designer, Patricia Urquiola.

Christopher Calabrese General Manager and Vice President added:

“The JW Marriott Cancun sits within one of the most beautiful destinations in the Mexican Caribbean, and our new room interiors complement the natural beauty our guests have grown to know and love. The detail is truly impeccable, and the elevated design, paired with authentic touches like the Mayan cross-stitching, pays homage to Cancun’s history and culture. Opening our guests up to the world around them is one of the most authentic travel experiences they can have.”

In addition to the guest rooms, other areas of the hotel have also experienced renovations. The exclusive Club 91 located on the 14th floor has undergone a modern, yet relaxing upgrade complete with coral reef ceiling decor, a new color palette, and interactive culinary experiences. The JW Lobby Bar has also introduced a ‘150 Margaritas’ menu that has been created and curated by their team of talented mixologists.
