This year’s invitational will feature hall of fame athletes such as Richard Dent, George Gervin, Gaylord Perry, Reggie Jackson, and Mike Euzione.

During the tournament, families of the participants are invited to visit the Orlando’s theme parks for a chance to see what it’s like to “Stay Vacationed,” Diamond’s trademark slogan.

Executive VP chief sales and marketing officer, Michael Flaskey said, “Being able to offer two world-class golf competitions, on such a beautiful and challenging course as Mystic Dunes Golf Course and bringing together such accomplished athletes and musicians for a fantastic weekend among family and friends allows Diamond Resorts to make a real difference in the lives of children. It is our honor to help raise funds for such a worthy cause. Thanks to the generosity of our participants and sponsors, we hope to build on last year’s success.”

After the awards ceremony for the amateur/celebrity tournament on December 13th, guests will be treated to a private concert. This year’s private concert will feature country music star Chris Young. Young was nominated for a Grammy for his latest album “A.M.” and recently selected as “Country Music’s Sexiest Man” by Country Weekly.

Sunday will feature the leading event, the Diamond Resorts Celebrity Invitational. On this day, celebrities will play against current PGA Tour players, including Brian Gay.

Last year’s tournament was a huge success and raised over $410,000 for the Florida Hospital for Children. In just a few weeks, we will see how much they can raise in 2014. To learn more about the Brian Gay Invitational, visit the event tumblr page at BrianGayInvitational.tumblr.com.
