What More Could an Anglophile Want from a Disney Timeshare Vacation?

Author: Jason Tremblay

Disney Beach Club timeshare resales and rentals.Great timing if you’ve planned an Orlando timeshare vacation this week, especially a Disney timeshare vacation, and you happen to be a devoted (or even mildly interested) anglophile.

For anyone who is British, loves all things British, or is just a romantic at heart and caught up in the excitement of the royal wedding, Walt Disney World has plans to make the Prince William and Katherine Middleton’s nuptials especially memorable.

With a nod to the power of social media, Walt Disney World Orlando has invited anyone interested in being a part of the royal wedding through a tweetup, to a Royal Sleepover. On Friday, April 29, starting at 4AM, registrants will gather at the Disney Wedding Pavilion, adjacent to the Grand Floridian, for what is being called, a royal tweetup.

Tweeters attending can watch the wedding broadcast live as well as view Cinderella’s Coach, which was built by Bennington Carriages, the coach maker for the Royal family. Between 4 and 8 AM, the tweeting early birds, will enjoy a English-themed breakfast. They have been encouraged to show up in a wedding gown, princess attire, or their pajamas, adding to the fun or at least the memorable moments of the event.

But in case you did not sign up soon enough to be part of Disney’s Royal Tweetup, there are other ways to experience the wedding during your Orlando timeshare vacation.

Royal Wedding Festivities during Your Disney Timeshare Vacation

The Dolphin hotel at Walt Disney World will begin airing coverage of the Royal Wedding on large screen TVs in its lobby. Starting at 5 AM, the event will be free and open to the public. A complimentary, English themed breakfast will be served. Wedding “guests” will also have the opportunity to view both a sugar tiara and a replica of the 18-carat sapphire and diamond engagement ring that Prince William gave to Kate Middleton, created by the Dolphin’s executive pastry chef, Laurent Branlard.

Even most guests onboard Disney Cruise ships will be able to view the royal wedding on large screen televisions. But if you are not headed for Disney, and still want a special way to commemorate this wedding experience during your Orlando timeshare vacation, the British-American Chamber of Commerce in Orlando will host a wedding viewing and tea at the Orlando Citrus Club from 3 to 5 PM on the afternoon of the wedding. The event is by ticketed admission only with all guests attending encouraged to wear their fanciest hats.

Before You Stay in a Disney Vacation Club Timeshare, Ask Mom

Author: Jason Tremblay

Once again, the Disney Moms are back with last week’s release of the forty new members of the 2011 Walt Disney World Moms Panel. The Walt Disney World Moms Panel is actually an online forum designed to give mom-to-mom tips and advice to anyone planning a Disney World Vacation or Disney Vacation Club timeshare stay with their family.

This year’s panel includes Moms, an Aunt, and a few Dads from the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. The Mom’s website and forum is so popular that many of the alumni mom panelists, including honorary member and mom, celebrity Geena Davis, continue to be involved, helping families as they plan their visits to the Walt Disney World parks maximize their vacation experience.

Disney Moms provide insights on the Orlando Walt Disney World theme parks, the new Adventures by Disney, Disney Vacation Club and Disney Cruise Line. As self-professed Disney fans themselves, the carefully selected panel of Moms help families planning a vacation with questions such as age appropriate experiences, dining, accommodations and Disney timeshare, how to cover a large park with small children, and ways to save money during your visit.

Meg Crofton, president of Walt Disney World Resort, says, “This year’s Moms Panel search generated the most applications we have ever received. The Moms Panel has become an integral part of the Disney vacation planning process.”

Disney Wedding Plans Call for a Disney Timeshare Honeymoon

Author: Jason Tremblay

Each year more than 1600 couples plan their wedding for Walt Disney World Resort. Starting in 1991, the Orlando theme park has hosted over 30,000 weddings. Many wedding industry experts cite Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida as one of the top wedding and honeymoon destinations in the world.

The first Disney wedding to be hosted in the Wedding Pavilion (1995) was televised on Lifetime Television. Today, the Wedding Pavilion at Walt Disney World can host up to six weddings a day, but couples can choose to be married at many other locations throughout the resort. Park services easily handle up to 12 weddings per day within the resort’s four theme parks.

In addition to Cinderella’s Castle as a wedding backdrop, other popular themed weddings at the park include a safari theme at Disney’s Animal Kingdom; a Hollywood extravaganza at Disney’s Hollywood Studios; and international themes at Epcot. One couple even said their vows on Disney’s The Twilight Zone™ Tower of Terror.

A Disney Timeshare for a Lifetime of Magic Moments

A Disney themed wedding starts at just over $4000 and Disney offers several add-on honeymoon packages. But no one has money to throw around these days and a Disney timeshare resale offers a couple an excellent way to begin a lifetime of memorable vacations. For couples taking the plunge but who aren’t quite ready to plunge into becoming a timeshare owner, there are also excellent opportunities in right-priced Disney timeshare rentals.

The Disney timeshare resale a couple buys today would make a perfect anniversary destination for living happily ever after.

Disney Timeshare in May or June if You Are a Star Wars Fan

Author: Jason Tremblay

Highlighting another great blog on The Timeshare Authority Blog Roll, we thank our friends at the Mousekingdom Blog, an excellent resource for anyone who loves Disney and the Walt Disney World theme parks.

The update on the Mousekingdom Blog last week is fair warning to Star Wars fans to plan their Orlando timeshare vacation to include a weekend in late May or early June. Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be celebrating the 30-year anniversary of the first release of the original Star Wars movie along with the new animated series The Clone Wars. During a month of weekend celebrations, park visitors will have the opportunity to met original cast members from the film series. Be on the lookout for Ewoks, Wookiees, Stormtroopers, and Jawas invading the park! You and your family can join Star Wars celebrities, Jedi Masters, and Sith Lords for special shows, presentations, memorabilia, and a chance to rub shoulders and gain autographs from the characters you know and love.

Hosting events for each of the four weekends will be Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett) and Ashley Eckstein (Ahsoka). From May 21-23, you’ll find Daniel Logan, Temuera Morrison, and Dee Bradley Baker at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Logan played both Boba Fett and all of the clone cadets in Episode II. Morrison starred as Jango Fett and as the clone troopers, and Baker is the voice of all the clone troopers (including Captain Rex) in Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

From May 28-30 look for Tom Kane, Lorne Peterson, and Matthew Wood in the theme park. Tom Kane is the voice of Yoda in The Clone Wars, and also the narrator who begins each show. Lorne Peterson is an ILM model-maker who worked behind the scenes on each of the six Star Wars movies. Matthew Wood was a sound editor on the Star Wars prequels and The Clone Wars and provided the voice of General Grievous and his battle droids.

Billy Dee Williams, Ray Park, and Dave Filoni will appear at the Hollywood Studios Park from June 4-6. Williams was Lando Calrissian. Ray Park is the villain Darth Maul from Episode I, and Dave Filoni is the supervising director of The Clone Wars.

And to wrap up the month-long event, on June 11-13, Peter Mayhew and James Arnold Taylor will be at the theme park, along with Ray Park who will be there for his second weekend. Mayhew was the beloved Chewbacca the Wookiee and Taylor is the voice of Obi-Wan Kenobi in The Clone Wars, as well as Plo Koon.

Plan Your Disney Timeshare or Orlando Timeshare Vacation

Just a reminder, Disney’s Hollywood Studios in NOT in Hollywood, so don’t schedule a California timeshare if you want to take in the Star Wars event. Instead, plan on a Disney timeshare in Florida or any of the great Orlando timeshares in order to be among the starry-eyed Star Wars fans who take part in this special celebration. Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park admission is required.

Again, thank you Mousekeeping for the head’s up!
