The Koutalaki Ski Village, located in Levi in the Finnish Lapland, will allow guests to take a lift up to the rooftops of the resort and ski straight down onto the freshly powdered slopes. Today is opening day at Beaver Creek Resort in Beaver Creek, Colorado. It will open with 720 acres available to guests—over double the amount of acreage accessible since 2002. So far, the resort has already had over 50 inches of natural snowfall, but in case Mother Nature doesn’t play fair, they also house a snowmaking infrastructure to make up for any snow they may be lacking.
