Timeshare Owners, Do You Know Who ARDA-ROC is and What They Do For You?
Friday, December 17, 2010
ARDA-ROC stands for the American Resort Development Association-Resort Owners Collation. Considered by ARDA to be the “first line of defense against legislation that may negatively impact timeshare owners and their well-being,” ARDA-ROC actively and pro-actively serves as a lobbying coalition to represent one million-plus timeshare owners across the US.
Members of ARDA-ROC voluntarily contribute $3-$5 a year that is used to fund a grassroots lobbying effort to preserve, protect, and enhance timeshare and vacation ownership. By uniting collectively, timeshare owners ensure that their voices will be heard and their interests considered, including acts of relevant consumer protection and positive timeshare industry changes. A goal of ARDA-ROC is to stand ready to fight the next legislative battle not the last one.
ARDA-ROC PAC
ARDA-ROC PAC is the association’s non-partisan political arm that works to help elect candidates who are committed to protecting and advancing the timeshare industry and the rights and privileges of timeshare owners. A specific goal of ARDA-ROC PAC is to ensure that individual timeshare owners and timeshare owner groups are able to engage government officials at all levels, local, state, and federal, in ongoing dialogue regarding policy that impacts vacations, vacationing, and vacation ownership.
ARDA-ROC PAC accepts only donations from individuals who are US citizens, and none from corporations, either in the US or elsewhere.
