Marriott Hotel and Marriott Timeshare Celebrate at the Marco Island Beach Music Festival

Last weekend, the residents and vacationers at Marco Island, Florida celebrated the holidays with the first annual Marco Island Beach Music Festival. The itinerary for the weekend’s festivities included music performances; skim boarding instruction followed by a competition; sandcastle building instruction and a contest featuring world-renowned sand sculptor John Gowdy; a sailing clinic, a burger competition and a Christmas ‘island-style’ boat parade.

Most importantly, when all the fun was over, the event’s sponsor, Marco Island Marriott Beach Resort, was able to distribute $40,000 to four charities. The Marco Island Family YMCA, the Friends of Rookery Bay, the American Cancer Society and the Children’s Miracle Network each received a check for $10,000.

Kudos to the Marco Island Marriott Beach Resort for sponsoring this fun event for such worthy causes.
