Bluegreen Timeshare Offering Christel House Coffee at its Resorts to Raise Money for Charity
Tuesday, June 14, 2011
Bluegreen timeshare is back in the news again for being part of a worthwhile cause. This time, it involves a special coffee, to be known as Christel House coffee, and created by Copper Moon, a gourmet coffee roaster.
Christel House coffee will be offered at all of Bluegreen’s timeshare resorts. As Jeffrey Lee, Director of Resort Operation Standards for Bluegreen Corporation, explains, “In 2010, Bluegreen recorded over 400,000 departures. Guests averaged a 3.7 night stay in each of our 45 resorts. If you figure each person drinks at least one cup of coffee in the morning and we averaged about three guests per stay, that’s a lot of coffee and a lot of money to charity.”
How Bluegreen Timeshare is Making a Difference
Coffee roaster, Copper Moon, will provide the roasted coffee in specially designed Christel House packaging. Each month, Bluegreen timeshare will turn 10 percent of the proceeds from the coffee over to Christel House, the charity created by RCI co-founder Christel DeHaan. Christel House works to break the cycle of poverty in communities around the world, helping build the self-esteem and skills of children in impoverished areas. The Bluegreen timeshare corporation, which also develops residential communities, is involved in many charitable efforts, including working with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, SOS Children’s Villages, the Junior Achievement Program of South Florida, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation®, the American Red Cross®.
