Hilton Grand Vacations and Japan Airlines Announce Expanded Partnership

Hilton Grand Vacations and Japan Airlines just announced their plan to develop new programs and services together. These will work to serve Hilton Grand Vacations vacation ownership and Japan Airlines Hawaii flight experience. Together, they will grow travel between Japan and Hawaii and broaden option for enhance vacation experiences on the islands.

This expanded partnership is expected to provide a higher quality experience for travelers. This collaboration comes in response to an increasing desire of Japanese citizens wanting to experience memorable vacations in Hawaii.

More than 1.5 million Japanese visitors traveled to the Hawaiian Islands in 2018, according to the Hawaii Tourism Authority—making Hawaii one of the top vacation destinations among Japanese travelers. Hilton Grand Vacations related travelers from Japan represented eight percent of arrivals in Oahu and 16 percent of arrivals in the Big Island of Hawaii.

Some of the highlights of the new Hilton Grand Vacations and Japan Airlines collaboration include:

  • Joint program development (set to launch in April 2019) to provide current and interested Hilton Grand Vacations members vacation products that come with a Japan Airlines flight. It will also provide Japan Airlines customers with programs for them to experience Hilton Grand Vacations lifestyle through their portfolio of resorts
  • Development of a “Flight Ownership Program” for Hilton Grand Vacations members

Japan Airlines new concept, “Style Yourself JAL Hawaii,” leverages insights that have been seen during the company’s 65 years of serving customers between Japan and Hawaii. This helps travelers customize their owner Hawaiian vacations that focus on nature, health, and lifestyle.

Hilton Grand Vacations currently has nine vacation ownership resorts in Hawaii, with two new properties underway. The company has more than 61,000 members in Asia. As such, this new enhanced partnership will provide these members with added high-quality services.
