Marriott Vacations Worldwide donated over 101,000 pounds of food from their Harvest for Hunger food drive as part of their fight to help end world hunger. Through the month of November, non-perishable food items were donated by associates. Marriott Vacation Club resort owners and guests were also invited to participate. The donations benefited local food banks near the resorts and offices.

Hurricane Irma tore its way through the Caribbean and Florida earlier this month, making it the second substantial hurricane to hit the U.S. this season following Hurricane Harvey. The storm wreaked havoc on popular travel destinations, resulting in massive evacuations and severe damages to infrastructure. Marriott Vacations Worldwide recently hosted its 20th Annual Caring Classic charity golf tournament, with proceeds benefitting Great Orlando Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. This event started back in 1997 and has since raised more than $2.5 million to help the children at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children.
