On February 17, 2017, Vail Resorts, Inc. announced their agreement to acquire Stowe Mountain Resort from the Mt. Mansfield Company, Inc. The company purchased the resort from the subsidiary of American International Group, Inc. for the price of $50 million, subject to certain adjustments.

Vail Resorts is investing $100 million in the guest experience for the upcoming winter ski season of 2016-17 across all of its resort properties. This brings their five-year, industry-leading resort investment total to over $500 million across the company.

Vail Resorts is set to expand their portfolio yet again. The ski resort company will assume management of the Zalanta Resort luxury condominiums in South Lake Tahoe when the property completes construction in January 2017. The Zalanta Resort will become Vail Resort’s third affiliated ski resort hotel in the Lake Tahoe area. [Read more…]

Colorado-based timeshare developer Breckenridge Grand Vacations recently announced plans to expand their popular Grand Colorado on Peak 8 resort. A third building on the resort’s grounds will begin construction in the spring of 2017, and will add more than 50 two-bedroom condo units to the luxury Breckenridge resort. [Read more…]
