Shanghai Xihong Vacation Club Gains Interval International Affiliation

China’s newest vacation club, Shanghai Xihong Vacation Club, has just affiliated with the timeshare exchange company Interval International. With one resort located in the northeastern resort town of Yantai, Shanghai Xihong offers 24 two-bedroom units in a Best Western mixed-use property that combines hotel rooms with vacation ownership units and commercial office space. With new properties currently planned for the Chinese vacation club, Interval International’s exchange offerings to members are about to go up.

Darren Ettridge, Interval International’s Senior VP of Resort Sales and Business Development in Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia stated how thrilled the company was to be working with Shanghai Xihong Vacation Club. “We are delighted to work with Mr. An Qi and Mr. Fu Hanjun, two well-respected Yantai business leaders who developed the Shanghai Xihong Vacation Club. This addition offers our members upscale accommodations with numerous amenities in an exciting destination.”

While the club only currently has one resort, the plans for expansion within China are ambitious. Shanghai Xihong will add 20-30-unit resorts in other tourists hotspots around China, beginning with one near Shanghai Disneyland. Mr. An, the resort chain’s general manager, spoke of the importance of the new affiliation, saying “Our relationship with Interval with be pivotal to building brand awareness and offering our members global opportunities for travel.”

Shanghai Xihong Vacation Club’s Best Western Yantai property offers contemporary accommodations overlooking China’s scenic Shandong Peninsula coast. The resort’s amenities feature a rooftop infinity pool, two on-site restaurants, and an 8D cinema theater. Shanghai Xihong Vacation Club members will be enrolled as Interval International and will receive the ability to exchange their Yantai accommodations, Interval cruise opportunities, vacation discounts, and more.
