In just over a year’s time, Marriott International hotels will debut their tenth location in Hong Kong and the first of the St. Regis brand.
It was announced that St. Regis Hotels & Resorts will begin collaboration with China Resource Property to officially begin construction of its first location in Hong Kong. It will be located in historic Wan Chai among the skyscrapers, shopping, and commercial buildings and in close proximity to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre and Victoria Harbor.

Managing Director of China Resources Property Frankie Y.F. Bao was excited to share the news and stated,

“We are proud to be bringing this iconic brand to Hong Kong. All St. Regis Hotels & Resorts represent the ultimate in timeless, tasteful luxury, which the discerning and sophisticated traveler appreciates. We are also happy to note that the presence of the outstanding new St. Regis in Wan Chai district will add a new level of prestige and appeal to this vibrant quarter of our city.”

As a city, Hong Kong is a fascinating mix of Chinese customs and colonization. It creates a unique blend of some of the newest and most luxurious buildings on the planet designed around ancient concepts, such as feng shui. Here, visitors get a combination of a passion for growth and a respect for tradition. With St. Regis being one of the fastest growing luxury brands, Hong Kong is the perfect next step for the company.
Vice President and Global Brand Leader of St. Regis Hotels & Resorts Lisa Holladay also exclaimed,

“Hong Kong is a bustling center of commerce with an incredible mix of glamour, culture, history and tradition. This vibrancy makes it an ideal destination for St. Regis. With its excellent location, impeccable service, and refined elegance, we look forward to offering guests an exquisite experience in one of the world’s most exciting cities.”

Famous Interior Designer André Fu will create the unique style for this 129 guest suite hotel facing Victoria Harbor and Kowloon Bay. The hotel will also include many of St. Regis’ signature luxury amenities such as Chinese and French restaurants, a banquet hall, heated pool, and Butler Service.

Paul Foskey, Chief Development Officer, Asia Pacific, at Marriott International was equally as thrilled as his counterparts on this collaboration and stated,

“St. Regis constantly seeks to reinterpret and reimagine time-honored traditions, bringing exciting new options and modern conveniences to luxury travelers. We are glad to be working with China Resources Property, a subsidiary of China Resources Holding, to bring the legendary St. Regis name to Hong Kong.”
