Just a Note to Say “Thanks”
Friday, April 14, 2006
Taking advantage of a lull in an otherwise hectic work week, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank our subscribers and friends for their kind support.
I’ll admit – this week has been unusually busy. Business has been pouring in, the phones have been ringing off their hooks, and my desk calendar is worn right through to May from heavy-duty pencilings and erasures. What this boils down to is that I haven’t had time to create a proper blog post for today.
However, this provides me with a rare opportunity; a chance for me to thank my subscribers and friends for supporting my blogging efforts.
When I started blogging last year, I was concerned that I might not be able to adapt smoothly to the routine. I knew I would be able to offer some good timeshare advice, but I also wanted the blog to be interesting for people to read. It’s taken a lot of work toward this end, but I think a lot of people will notice just how far this weblog has come since its humble debut.
The social networking component of blogging really is amazing. I’m trying to convince all my friends to blog, but not everyone has the time – or the inclination.
I couldn’t have done it alone: I am more fortunate than most bloggers in that I have an excellent team of internet-savvy people advising me. Not only that, I get great advice almost daily from an array of netizens from a variety of different backgrounds.
Muhammad Ali once said, “Friendship… is not something you learn in school. But if you haven’t learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven’t learned anything.” I am inclined to agree.
To everyone who has helped this blog grow, I offer my sincerest and most grateful thanks. Here’s wishing us all a prosperous and successful future.
