Timeshare Industry’s GNEX Expo Chooses Christel House as Charity of Choice
Thursday, May 12, 2011
As representatives of the timeshare, fractional and vacation ownership industry meet this week for the first annual GNEX conference, there will be more at stake than important business-to-business networking; knowledge sharing about timeshare, and engaged discussion on the burning issues of the timeshare industry. GNEX 2011 will also provide an opportunity to raise support for a very meaningful cause: Christel House International will be the Charity of Choice for the First Annual Global Networking Expo, GNEX 2011.
The GNEX Awards Gala dinner tomorrow night, May 12, is a fundraiser for Christel House. It is important to note that 100 percent of all individual contributions go directly to help the children of Christel House, and not to support administrative needs of the charity. Christel House, founded in 1998 by Christel DeHaan, builds and operates learning centers in six countries. These centers, built in low income neighborhoods offer education, nutrition, healthcare, life skills training and more for the more than 3000 parents and children they serve.
Paul Mattimoe, president and CEO, Perspective Magazine, says, “Perspective International has been an avid supporter of Christel House for several years now and we are very pleased we could use GNEX 2011 to raise more money and awareness of the extraordinary work they do in some of the most poverty-stricken areas of the world.”
