Hurricane Sandy Update for Marriott Hotels and Marriott Timeshares

Here is a partial update provided by Marriott International, Inc. and The Ritz-Carlton on some of their resorts and Marriott timeshares properties as Hurricane Sandy continues to  bring destructive winds, flooding, and rough weather to the eastern US coastline. For further information about other Marriott hotels and Marriott timeshares you can visit: www.news.marriott.com or contact your Marriott Vacation Club resort (Marriott timeshares) directly.

As a result of mandatory evacuations, the following Marriott hotels have been temporarily closed:

• New York Marriott Downtown
• The Ritz-Carlton New York, Battery Park
• Atlantic City Courtyard, New Jersey
• Atlantic City North Fairfield Inn, New Jersey

The properties will determine when to reopen, after Hurricane Sandy has passed and conditions have been revaluated. You can receive further information on these hotels by calling: (800) 228-9290. Updates on other Marriott Hotels and Marriott Timeshares

The Ritz-Carlton Golf and Spa Resort, Rose Hall, Jamaica; the Renaissance Santo Domingo Jaragua Hotel & Casino; and the Courtyard Santo Domingo are all open and accepting guests and reservations.

The Ritz-Carlton Golf and Spa Resort, Rose Hall, Jamaica has reported that no guest or employees were injured during Hurricane Sandy and there was no significant damage to the hotel or grounds. The hotel is operational and welcoming guests.

The Abaco Club on Winding Bay, a Ritz-Carlton Managed Club, Marsh Harbour, Abaco, Bahamas has reported minimal damage. As there is limited electricity, telephone, and water service, the hotel is closed until further notice. Cancellation fees  are being waived through November 1, 2012.
