Starbucks Coffee and Your Disney Timeshare Vacation
Friday, November 16, 2012
If you think the only thing missing from your Disney timeshare vacations is your favorite blend of Starbucks coffee, you will be happy to know that the Seattle-based coffee chain, and the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, a division of The Walt Disney Company, are teaming up. The two mega-brands have entered into an agreement to open a Starbucks store inside each of the six Disney properties in California and Florida. (Disneyland California Adventure; Disneyland Park; Magic Kingdom; Epcot; Hollywood Studios; and Animal Kingdom.)
The new Disney property Starbucks stores will be designed to complement the Disney architecture and décor and the Starbucks logo will not be posted outside the shops, although there will be signage with the Starbucks name. At Disneyland California, the Starbucks store will be known as “The Fiddler, Fifer and Practical Café,” which are the names of the three little pigs in the Disney version of the classic pigs and wolf story.
Not only will the Starbucks shops look different, even the coffee cups will carry both the Disney logo and the Starbucks logos. And don’t expect your barista to be wearing the traditional Starbucks green apron. Instead, Disney Starbucks baristas will wear aprons that match the décor of the store in which they are working.
Soon, if you arrive at your Disney timeshare and realize that you forgot to pack your Starbucks coffee, you will only need to drop by the nearest park to stock up.
Recently Westgate Resorts announced that it will soon be serving Starbucks coffee … you have to wonder which other timeshare resorts will also turn to the magnetic branding power of Starbucks to help ensure the satisfaction of their timeshare owners and guests.
