Shiver me timbers! In honor of International Talk Like a Pirate Day, we’re featuring some of the best pirate-themed attractions.
You’ll find pirate ships, rides, and even dinner shows in some of the most popular travel destinations. These exciting attractions provide the perfect activity for families, as they are typically suitable for all ages.

Cape Cod, Massachusetts
Sail the seven seas of Cape Cod with the Pirate Adventures tour. This popular attraction hosts daily tours aboard a custom-made pirate ship called The Sea Gypsy. Recommended for kids 3-10 years old, Pirate Adventures is a full interactive experience. Once you board, kids will be greeted by the Sea Gypsy crew and transformed into a pirate with bandanas and temporary tattoos. Once the Sea Gypsy leaves the port, kids will learn about the history of pirates, pirate songs, and even fight a battle to defend their ship! At the end of the tour, kids are rewarded with a share of the treasure.

The Pirate Soul museum in St. Augustine, Florida offers an interactive tour of pirate history and memorabilia. As St. Augustine is the oldest city and port in America, the town offers an overabundance of historical sites and artifacts. Stroll through an exhibit of Port Royal, visit the Rogue’s Tavern, and even defend a pirate ship from intruders. The museum even showcases one of the last 3 surviving Jolly Roger Flags, originating from the mid-19th century.

Watch as pirates embark on a swashbuckling adventure aboard an 18th century Spanish galleon ship. The audience sits aboard 6 smaller boats that surround the main ship, all inside a 300,000-gallon indoor lagoon. Cheer on your pirate mascot while actors, singers, and stunt performers battle in this epic performance.
Panama City Beach, Florida
Avast! Are you ready to party on the pirate cruise? Join the captain on a 2 hour tour of St. Andrew’s Bay off the coast of Panama City. As soon as you come aboard the might Sea Dragon ship, you’ll be welcomed into the crew with pirate music and dancing. During the cruise, Captain Phil will show you wildlife and dolphins along the bay. There is also plenty to do throughout the cruise. Kids can play sword fight, get their faces painted, learn to talk like a pirate, and more! Adults will also enjoy the specialty beverages in the ship’s café.
