On Friday, WorldMark by Wyndham announced that their resort network will expand to a new resort in Hunt, Texas. The division of Wyndham Vacation Ownership revealed that they have acquired the Stablewood Springs Resort, an upscale, villa-style resort. The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

The Stablewood Springs Resort is WorldMark’s second property in Texas. WorldMark by Wyndham members will be able to make reservations at the lavish resort in early 2015.

COO Wyndham Vacation Ownership, Geoff Richards said,

“The acquisition and development of this resort is an exciting opportunity for us to provide additional vacation options for our owners and guests traveling to Texas. Our valued owners will be able to experience beautiful accommodations and amenities, while enjoying the highly-sought after area of the Texas hill country.”

The resort is located in the Guadalupe River Valley on 140 acres of land. Resort amenities include two swimming pools and a state-of-the-art fitness center. The grounds offer hiking trails, biking trails, and even fishing pond.

Wyndham anticipates that 31 units will be available to Wordmark owners by 2015. The timeshare group is also planning to build additional units that will open sometime during 2016.

Hunt, Texas is becoming a popular travel destination for rest and relaxation. The tranquil setting is filled with rugged mountains, lazy rivers, canyons, and valleys. Guest can also visit the 2,200-acre Los Maples wildlife park. For indoor activity, visitors can travel to the nearby town of Fredricksburg for shopping and antiquing.
