4th Annual Festiva Golf Tournament Collects over $85,000 for Charity

Festiva Hospitality Group recently hosted its 4th annual Festiva Charitable Fund Golf Tournament. This year, through donations, sponsors, and raffle tickets, Festiva raised a grand total of $87,606.

The annual tournament was held in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina on September 22, 2014. The tournament featured 132 golfers divided amongst 33 teams.

All proceeds from the tournament will be donated to the Festiva Charitable Fund. Managed by The Community Foundation of Western North Carolina, the fund is a nonprofit organization with two concentrations: youth education and elimination of poverty.

Festiva supports a variety of organizations including:

• Room in the Inn Program of Homeward Bound – Asheville, North Carolina
• Meals on Wheels – Asheville, North Carolina
• Branson Veterans Task Force – Branson, Missouri
• Sea Haven for Youth – Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
• Second Harvest Food Bank – Orlando, Florida
• The Police Athletic League – New Smyrna Beach, Florida

Tournament organizer Kristen Shiring said, “We were extremely grateful to have the support of [our] industry partners for this year’s golf tournament. It was the most successful tournament we’ve had, and we are thrilled that we’ll be able to continue to help nonprofit organizations through the Charitable Fund as a result.”
