Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration

Recently, Disneyland Resort announced that they will host a Diamond Celebration for the West Coast parks, featuring special parades, decorations, and a new fireworks display. Tom Staggs, Chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, made the announcement that the event will begin on Friday May 22, 2015.
Special decor for the event will include a “diamond” update to both the Carthay Circle Theatre in Disney California Adventure and the famous Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland Park.The two structures will glisten with diamond accents and feature a diamond “D” at the main entrances. Guests can also see sparkling diamond decor throughout the parks, complemented by celebratory banners.
As for entertainment, Disney California Adventure will showcase a special presentation of their “World of Color—Celebrate! The Wonderful World of Walt Disney” show.In this spectacular show, “World of Color” for short, Mickey will lead guests on an inspirational and exciting journey through the life of Walt Disney. Guests will have a have a special look into the imagination and passion that led Walt to create the Disneyland parks.
In the evening, guests can travel to Disneyland park to watch the Paint the Night parade. This dazzling nighttime show will feature floats, dancers, and of course, your favorite Disney characters. Music, lights, and performers will travel the paths of Main Street, U.S.A. for a magical performance. Between the floats and the costumes, this parade boasts 1.5 million LED lights.
Guests can also view Disney’s newest fireworks show, Disneyland Forever. Follow the story of Disneyland Forever through the music of two new original songs “Kiss Goodnight” and “Live the Magic,” both written by Disney composer Richard Sherman. This brand new spectacular displays pyrotechnics, special effects, and projections.
Disney Vacation Club owners can attend the Disneyland Diamond Resort Celebration by using their points to stay at The Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Disney timeshare rentals are also available for travelers interested in attending the celebration.
