Hilton Los Cabos Reopens After Hurricane

The Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort has officially reopened after Hurricane Odile last September.

Located between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, the popular resort was damaged significantly by the 2014 disaster. In order to reopen the property to guests, the Hilton Los Cabos underwent a multi-million dollar renovation.

Most of the resort was refurbished, including 375 guest rooms, pool cabanas, and extensive landscaping throughout the grounds.

Hilton also used this time to upgrade the pool and beach area. They added a new beach bar called Onda, a swim-up bar named Mio, and a tequila bar called Azul. The Madero and El Meson restaurants have also reopened under the direction of Executive Chef Mauricio.

Hilton shares that this is the first round of updates that they plan to make to the resort. Next, the resort plans to build a new luxury segment—La Vista Club. Hilton describes La Vista Club as a “hotel within a hotel.” This new section will feature 65 guest rooms and suites with a variety of luxurious upgrades including custom furniture, marble bathrooms, and signature lounge areas.

Later this year, Hilton plans to open a new state-of-the-art spa center. The new spa will provide 15 treatment rooms, a studio for workout classes, and a zen garden.

Families will be excited to learn that Hilton also plans to open a Cabo Kids Camp for children ages 4–12. Kids will now have their own space for activities while parents can enjoy some time to themselves.

Hilton has done a great job to restore the resort in such a short period of time. With so many new features, we are sure that guests will be excited to return to the resort. In addition to hotel guests, Hilton Grand Vacations members can visit the newly updated resort through the Hilton HHonors program.
