2015 has brought many changes to Starwood Vacation Ownership, and the latest is the development of the Westin Nanea Ocean Villas.

Starwood broke ground on the new Westin timeshare resort back in June, with a ceremony on Maui’s Ka’anapali Beach. However, the company has recently announced more information about the resort and how it will affect StarOption owners.

SVO’s Chief Operating Officer, Steve Williams, shares, “The Westin Nanea Ocean Villas is a highly anticipated addition to
the Starwood Vacation Ownership portfolio, building on the success
of our existing Westin resorts on Kaanapali.”

The luxury resort will offer 390 villas, many with ocean views. While staying at the resort, Starwood members will enjoy a wide variety of amenities, including a 10,000 square-foot pool that will resemble a lagoon, a children’s beach-style pool, and two plunge pools. Kids will also appreciate the resort’s play area, while adults can enjoy the beach bar and WestinWORKOUT studio.

To incorporate Hawaii’s iconic culture, the resort will offer an assortment of activities to celebrate the region’s rich history. They will offer music, dance, and arts and crafts programs to guests and those staying at The Westin Ka’anapali Ocean Resort Villas, which is located next door.

Williams continues, “By working closely with Hawaiian cultural experts on the resort’s design and offerings, we will provide a truly authentic experience that celebrates the island’s rich history and traditions.”

Guests staying at the Westin Nanea Ocean Villas will also have access to the Ka’anapali Ocean Resort’s spa—Spa Helani, a Heavenly Spa by Westin.

The organization plans to also make this property a green resort. Once the property is completed, Starwood plans to apply for the US Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification, a prestigious accolade for high-performance buildings.

Those who already own a timeshare at The Westin Ka’anapali Ocean Resort Villas or The Westin Ka’anapali Ocean Resort Villas North will be excited to learn that this new location may create additional reservation power to their existing ownership. As reported by SellMyTimeshareNow.com’s blog, Starwood plans to increase StarOptions values for Hawaii resorts, specifically those with oceanfront units. This will allow owners to enjoy a wider variety of reservations at Starwood timeshare resorts around the world.

The Westin Nanea Ocean Villas is expected to open in 2017. At this time, Westin Ka’anapali owners can also begin using their valued-added StarOptions.
