Club Med Cancun Wins Popular Readers’ Choice Award

Conde Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice award is given to a resort that resonates with the publication’s audience, and this year, Club Med in Cancun has earned the special distinction. Citing the resort’s history as an all-inclusive pioneer and its exceptional accommodations, Conde Nast readers named it the best resort in Mexico.
The Readers’ Choice Awards are published every year by Conde Nast Traveler, based on votes from the publication’s readers. This year, for the 29th anniversary of the award, 300,000 votes were cast for the best resorts, hotels, cities, cruise ships, islands, destinations, and more. The award has been in existence so long, and is so popular that winners of the Conde Nast Readers’ Choice Awards are referred to as “the best of the best in travel.”
Readers sought to award Club Med this year due to its reputation in the travel industry as a legendary Cancun retreat. Its oceanside location and close proximity to three famous beaches encouraged readers to vote for the popular establishment. The resort also offers direct access to the Great Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, one of the largest coral reefs in the world and a huge tourism draw. Catering to both families and couples on romantic retreats, the amenities and services at the resort include on-site land and water sports, bars and restaurants, revamped children’s activities, and newly renovated oceanfront rooms. With an already-existing legacy and new additions paving the way of the future, the Club Med Cancun was a no-brainer for many Conde Nast readers.
