The Ethisphere Institute, a global leader in recognizing and encouraging ethical business practices, has named Wyndham Worldwide as the most ethical company in the world for the third consecutive year. Wyndham has claimed the distinction for five years total, further marking its commitment to conducting responsible business and treating customers fairly.

2017 is the eleventh year of the World’s Most Ethical Company designation, started by the Ethisphere Institute to recognize companies who work to establish trust between them and their customers, and also encourage other companies to follow in their example. Wyndham Worldwide, a longtime leader when it comes to fair business practices, earned the award for its “Count On Me!” philosophy, which places a strong focus on ethical practices, corporate social responsibility, and more.

Stephen P. Holmes, the chairman and CEO of Wyndham Worldwide, remarked on the company’s dedication to ethics:

“Wyndham Worldwide’s culture of service encourages all levels of associates to do what’s right, beyond what’s expected. This distinction recognizes a shared focus and collaborative effort by individuals and teams across our company, from our Board of Directors to each of our associates.”

Wyndham Worldwide has established a global network of Compliance Champions to provide guidance to associates on ethical business standards, resulting in a unilateral approach throughout the company to maintaining positive ethics. The company has also partnered with and provided services for several charitable and human rights organizations, such as Kids in Need of Defense, the Polaris Project, and ECPAT-USA.

Scott McLester, executive vice president and general counsel for Wyndham Worldwide, echoed his company’s commitment to supporting associates, customers, and the general public:

“Ethical behavior is the lens through which we make decisions and anchor our commitment to each other, our partners, our customers, and our communities. From attracting global talent, to upholding the Count On Me! commitment and ethical business principles, we ensure our global network is comprised of good corporate citizens.”
