New Disney Cruise Line Developments are Coming Summer 2019

In addition to its current offerings—including cruises to Alaska, the Bahamas, and the Caribbean—Disney Cruise Line will offer a plethora of new vacation options in the summer of 2019. Guests can expect seven new ports in Europe—some in countries where Disney Cruise Line has not taken travelers before—and many other new developments.
The new ports in Europe include destinations in Northern Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, France, and Spain—countries where Disney Cruise Line has never taken guests before. Disney Cruise Line will also offer a round-trip cruise from Rome for the first time. Guests will be able to explore the Vatican, Trevi Fountain, and the Colosseum as part of the 8-night cruise, which will start in Civitavecchia, Rome and stop at various points in Italy, France, and Spain, before returning to Rome. In the Disney Cruise Line British Isles cruise, travelers will be pleased to note that Belfast, Ireland will be a new destination. Travelers will also be able to take Disney Magic’s tour of Europe, which will bring them to Norway, Iceland, the Baltic, the British Isles, and the Mediterranean.
In the Americas, Disney Cruise Line will continue to offer Alaskan cruises, departing from Vancouver, Canada. These allow guests to see the majestic glaciers, wildlife, and terrain Alaska is known for. Cruises of different lengths will be available, including five-, seven-, and nine-night cruises.
Travelers will also be able to choose between cruises of differing lengths in the Caribbean and Bahamas. These will include a three-night cruise of the Bahamas on August 7, a six-night cruise of the western Caribbean on June 30, an eight-night cruise of the southern Caribbean on June 22, and an 11-night cruise of the southern Caribbean on July 27—all including stops at Castaway Cay—Disney’s private island.
Disney Cruise Line will also offer the new pre-cruise Short Escapes and guided group excursion packages for select cruises. Short Escapes include guided experiences in Rome and Vancouver, where guests can participate in cultural activities like local cuisine preparation, can boost their adrenaline through activities like ziplining, and can take private, after-hours visits to world-famous sites, such as the Sistine Chapel.
The guided group excursion packages will enhance travelers’ experiences by providing expert guides to educate guests about each port, as well as exclusive receptions and access to concierge service. These new Adventures by Disney perks will be available beginning March 8, 2018, with the exception of the Vancouver Short Escape, which will open later in 2018.
