15 New Club Med Resorts Planned for 2020

Club Med, a famous provider of luxurious, all-inclusive resorts, is planning on continuing its global expansion with 15 new properties by the end of 2020. These new Club Med resorts will continue the brand’s all-inclusive reputation and welcome visitors in some of the world’s most desired destinations, like Turks and Caicos, Sicily, the Maldives, and more.

The new resort openings consist of a mixture of grand openings and grand re-openings, with the brand committed to not only constructing new properties, but renovating existing ones. Five Club Med resorts will receive renovations per year, allowing the brand to continue providing premium, family-friendly accommodations to travelers all over the world.

Xavier Mufraggi, CEO of Club Med North America, provided some insight as to what the new and renovated properties might include:

“For more than 65 years, Club Med has continuously worked to improve and adapt to consumer demands and trends. This entrepreneurial driving spirit has allowed us to remain an energetic and diverse place for travelers with upscale accommodations, superior sports programming, enriching children’s programs, gourmet dining and legendary hospitality skills.”

New Club Med resorts will be located primarily in Asia and Europe, and are as follows:

  • Club Med Cefalu, Sicily
  • Les Arcs Panorama, France
  • Club Med Samoens Morillon Grand Massif, France
  • Club Med Joyview Golden Coast, China
  • Club Med Joyview Anji, China
  • Club Med Joyview Great Wall, China
  • Club Med Tomamu Hokkaido, Japan

The company’s list of properties to be renovated and expanded includes resorts that are already known for their luxury and hospitality:

  • Club Med Turkoise, Turks and Caicos
  • Club Med Buccaneer’s Creek, Martinique
  • Club Med Cancun Yucatan, Mexico
  • Club Med Guilin, China
  • Club Med Kani, Maldives
