Margaritaville Vacation Club Wyndham Rio Mar Reopens

Margaritaville Nashville

Wyndham Extra Holidays, a part of Wyndham Vacation Ownership, recently announced the reopening of one of their most popular properties. The Margaritaville Vacation Club Wyndham Rio Mar in Puerto Rico is back to welcoming guests to its oceanfront property after extensive renovations following last year’s damaging hurricanes.

Located just half an hour outside San Juan, the Margaritaville Vacation Club property brings a tropical atmosphere and relaxing environment that only the Margaritaville brand can emulate. Belonging to the Wyndham family of resorts, the property is located within the 500-acre Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Puerto Rico Golf & Beach Resort, featuring impeccable access to the beach, golf courses, and a litany of other amenities that give vacationers and timeshare owners the ultimate Caribbean getaway.

Aside from repairing damages from the storms, the resort made several additions and improvements to the grounds. Marbella’s, an American and Caribbean-infused breakfast spot features floor-to-ceiling views of the ocean, while the tiki hut restaurant hopes to begin serving snacks and beverages in May. The lobby bar has undergone a comprehensive transformation into the Caicu Rum Bar, which was the recipient of a $1 million investment.

Paul Carney, senior vice president of Wyndham Extra Holidays, spoke to the significance of the resort’s reopening:

“We are proud to support the rebuilding of Puerto Rico and are thrilled to welcome visitors back to our amazing beachfront resort. Our amazing staff at Rio Mar has worked so hard not only to restore the resort but also to be a part of the rebuilding of the island. We invite guests to come enjoy a spectacular vacation and be a part of the revitalized island experience.”
