Hilton Grand Vacations Purchases Fourth New York City Property

Hilton Grand Vacations has recently purchased the well-known luxury lifestyle hotel, The Quin, located in Midtown Manhattan for $175 million. The existing 208 hotel rooms will be renovated into a mixture of 212 studio and one-bedroom timeshare units.

The Quin is an iconic property that was once home to some of the most legendary artists in the city, such as Georgia O’Keeffe, Marc Chagall, and Ignacy Jan Paderewski. Its position near Broadway, Carnegie Hall, and Time Square with views of Central Park makes it ideal for travelers.

This will be the fourth property Hilton Grand Vacations as acquired in New York City as it continues to expand its portfolio of urban vacation options. Previously, they opened The Hilton Club—New York in Manhattan in 2002, West 57th Street by Hilton Club in 2009, and The Residences by Hilton Club in June of 2018. Amenities at this newest location are likely to include a fitness center, private owners’ lounge, and restaurant.

HGV’s President and CEO Mark Wang stated:

“We are excited to announce the acquisition of the Quin, our fourth property in New York City and an important milestone in our 2018 inventory investment program. Adding high-quality properties in desirable destinations is a key component in advancing our strategic priorities.”

Their priorities mentioned include maximizing customer engagement and experience, strengthening and expanding their brand presence, focusing on talent and operating effectiveness, and growth of sales and member base.
