Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort Closing Ahead of Hurricane Florence

While the southern coast of the United States prepares for Hurricane Florence to hit later this week, many resorts are already taking measures of precaution. Disney Vacation Club has just announced that the Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort will temporarily close ahead of the storm.

What is currently known about the closing of Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort:

  • The resort will close today, Tuesday, September 11th, and is currently scheduled to stay closed through Monday, September 17th
  • A notice was posted on the official website that encourages guests to check back daily for updates
  • Any guests that may have their reservations impacted may call (800) 800-9800

The hurricane policy of Disney Vacation Club states that in the event of a hurricane warning issued by the National Hurricane Center within 7 days before the scheduled arrival dates, guests can cancel or reschedule their reservation.
