Daniel J. Mathewes Appointed New CFO of Hilton Grand Vacations

Daniel J. Mathewes has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer at Hilton Grand Vacations where he’ll lead various departments within the company including finance, accounting, treasury, portfolio, tax, and investor relations. Mathewes will work with their executive team to evolve and apply corporate and financial strategies aimed to help continue growth and expansion of the Hilton brand.
Just over a week after announcing Gordon Gurnik as their new VP and COO and two weeks after announcing Hollie Gilbert as their New VP of Field Marketing, Mathewes joins the evolving team at Hilton Grand Vacations as their new CFO. With over 20 years of global finance experience for a number of public and private companies, many of which in the hospitality and real estate industry, Mathewes will bring extensive global financial experience to the company.

Previous to HGV, Mathewes was the CFO at Virgin Hotels North America since 2016 where he directed all areas of tax and treasury, financial management, and long-term strategic planning. His work also includes serving as The World’s CFO and Senior Vice President of Finance and Treasury for Kerzner International. He built his career in a variety of financial leadership roles at NCL Corporation, Royal Caribbean Cruises, and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Mathewes graduated Summa Cum Laude from Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and economics.
