AMResorts Opens Its First Branded Resort in Europe

Apple Leisure Group (ALG) brand AMResorts has just opened Secrets Mallorca Villamil Resort & Spa on July 11 in Mallorca, Spain. This latest project in partnership with one of Spain’s top hotel groups, Hesperia Resorts & Hotels, is not only the first Secrets-branded property in Spain but the first AMResorts-branded property in Europe.
The VIP celebration of the resorts grand opening was hosted by the ALG Europe team and included some prestigious guests. Model and influencer Alice Campello served as the master of ceremonies to attendees like the Minister of Economic Model, Tourism and Labor to the Balearic Islands, the Mayor of Calvia, and a number of Mallorca civil society members.
Apple Leisure Group’s Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer Javier Coll was excited to discuss the latest development in the AMResorts and Secrets brands:

Similar to other Secrets locations, Secrets Mallorca Villamil Resort & Spa is a five-star, adults-only resort property that has a number of on-site features for guests to enjoy. The property’s €3.5 million-renovation has expanded their accommodations to 162 rooms and suites, an updated food and beverage program with four restaurants and five bars, a heated outdoor pool, a fitness center, a spa, and other lavish amenities.
Mallorca Villamil Resort & Spa joins the 15 existing Secrets properties located throughout the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Mexico, and Jamaica. With ALG’s priority on European expansion since the acquisition of a majority stake in Spanish hotel chain Alua Hotels & Resorts in December 2018, AMResorts has slated another strategic partnership property with Hesperia Resorts & Hotels, Secrets Lanzarote Resort & Spa, to be completed by the end of 2019.
