Disney Vacation Club Releases Update to 2021 Points Chart

Disney Vacation Club has updated its 2021 points chart to “encourage travel throughout the year with the goal of improving availability.” As such, the points charts will change the verbiage from “seasons” to “travel periods.” This will only be in effect at Walt Disney World resorts.

In the announcement, Disney Vacation Club stated that the 2021 Vacation Points Chart will feature 7 travel periods to offer a greater range of options. Periods with higher demand will require more Points to book and travel periods with less demand will require fewer. DVC Members with more flexible travel schedules will be able to enjoy vacations using fewer Points than previous years.

These changes will only affect Disney Vacation Club Resorts at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Resorts that will not be impacted include Disney’s Vero Beach Resort, Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort, The Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas.

In changing from “seasons” to “travel periods,” Disney Vacation Club has set specific dates and put them into cost buckets similar to the previous Choice and Premier Seasons. Each travel period will have a different point cost at each resort.
