Wyndham and Margaritaville project in Atlanta receives financing

Wyndham Vacation Resorts Inc. and Strand Capital Group have proposed developing a 22-story, 212-unit timeshare resort, as well as a 14,000-square-foot Margaritaville restaurant and bar in downtown Atlanta, Georgia.

The development team has lined up at least $108 million in financing for the project.

The deal between Wyndham and the developer was reached just before the World Health Organization declared the novel coronavirus and associated respiratory disease, COVID-19, a global pandemic.

Wyndham can acquire timeshare or vacation ownership interests in 108 units. Wyndham and the developer reached an agreement for the residential component of the project, prior to non-essential businesses closing because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Construction is well underway, as the project has been in the works for a number of years.
