New Diamond Resorts’ @TheVacationDR Items Announced to Benefit COVID-19 Relie
Wednesday, December 2, 2020
Vacation ownership and hospitality mogul Diamond Resorts has unveiled its newest, limited-edition @TheVacationDR athleisure gear which is aimed to support COVID-19 relief. During the 2020 holiday season and leading up to the 2021 Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions, people can purchase a number of items including t-shirts, zip-ups, and hats where 100% of the net proceeds go towards the Diamond Resorts International Foundation 501(3)c to help those impacted by the pandemic.
The @TheVacationDR was founded in January 2020 as a product line to support the community and through the recognized 501(3)c organization, Diamond Resorts International Foundation, the net proceeds of the @TheVacationDR launch helped over 160 families affected by the COVID-19 pandemic through grocery, medical, and housing assistance. The same goal continues through the 2020 holiday season and into 2021.
Included in the collection is an exclusive skull and golf tee MF logo which was created to represent Mike Flaskey, the Diamond Resorts CEO and Tournament of Champions founder.
Flaskey was excited to talk about this latest announcement:
“Giving back to the community is a key part of everything we do at Diamond Resorts. We started @TheVacationDR Line as just another way to do good but had no idea the impact it would have. Just months after the line launched, the pandemic hit, and our whole world changed. We were able to use the net proceeds to support families who were devastated by the pandemic. We’re proud to do our small part to help our community recover and urge everyone to shop with a purpose this holiday season and help make this year’s line an even bigger success.”
In addition to @TheVacationDR, the Tournament of Champions has raised over $3.7 million for various charitable causes over the years through programs like silent auctions and live auctions hosted throughout the week. The tournament will be hosted January 21-24, 2021.
