Travel + Leisure Co. Wins ARDA Circle of Excellence Award

The annual American Resort Development Association (ARDA) conference was recently held to recognize key players in the vacation ownership industry. Travel + Leisure Co. received 13 awards, including the very prestigious ARDA ACE Award for Philanthropy and Community Service.

Travel + Leisure Co. was recognized for its Travel + Leisure Charitable Foundation and its dedication to providing scholarships to encourage diverse and inclusive communities. This is done through a number of programs like leadership training, mentoring opportunities, and educational support.

The Travel + Leisure Eatonville Scholarship Program provides scholarships to high school students that live in Eatonville in Orange County, Florida, which is the first, self-governing all African American incorporated municipality in the country. The scholarships help to promote educational excellence within this community.

The Travel + Leisure Charitable Foundation has provided its first scholarships to graduates of Edgewater High School in Orlando on May 5, 2022.

“We are committed to making an impact in the communities where we work and live, and I am proud of the positive difference our team is making around the world.” said Michael D. Brown, president and CEO of Travel + Leisure Co. “As our momentum builds, we are honored by this recognition of our contributions. Today, less than one year after the launch of the Foundation, we will award the first seven Travel + Leisure Eatonville Scholarships to students of excellence in Central Florida, delivering on our goal to enable dreams beyond vacations.”

Travel + Leisure Company’s Wyndham Destinations also received a number of awards at the ARDA convention, including one that recognized the program that optimizes the availability of inventory at the most popular resorts for timeshare owners.
