Flamingo Beach and Royal Palm Officially Become Hilton Vacation Club Resorts

Hilton Grand Vacations celebrated the re-branding of Flamingo Beach with a ribbon-cutting ceremony last week. This ceremony officially marked Flamingo Beach as part of the Hilton Grand Vacation Club’s network of resort properties.

Later in the week, Royal Palm had its official ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate becoming an HGV property. This makes Flamingo Beach and Royal Palm the first re-branded properties and locations in St. Maarten for Hilton Grand Vacations after the company acquired Diamond Resorts in August of 2021.

At the ceremony, Hilton Grand Vacations had several key figures speak including Area Vice President for Resort Operations Tim Loughman; Senior Vice President for Association Management Services and Brand Operations Neil Hutchinson; HGV Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing International, Lisa Dusart; and Michael Hilton, Senior Vice President for Architectural Design.

Flamingo Beach Area Manager Mervin Leblanc and all of the Flamingo staff were also present, as well as an HGV re-branding team. Neil Hutchinson commented:

“The team is teaching the resort staff how to manage the property to keep things consistent from a brand standards perspective, from a systems perspective, guest services perspective, etc. HGV is celebrating our 30th anniversary. We primarily build and sell new projects. We purchased Diamond Resorts in 2021 so we are in the process of re-branding several of those resorts now from Diamond to HGV. We are rebranding 20 properties in 2022. Flamingo is our 12th and Royal Palm will be the 13th out of 20.”

Hilton Grand Vacations is also in the process of rolling out new programs including HGV Max. This program allows Diamond Club members and Hilton Grand Vacation Club members to transfer back and forth between the two clubs.

“We’re bringing the best of both companies together and we’re very excited about it,” Hutchinson said. “I have to say, out of 74 Diamond Resorts I have visited, these two, Flamingo especially, are among the very best of what we will re-brand as HGV. We have a whole new chapter ahead of us. Together we are positioned to offer more options across more destinations with greater flexibility forever.”

Flamingo is a 240-suite resort set on Simpson Bay. The resort offers some wonderful amenities including a swimming pool, hot tub, sports courts, an on-site cafe, and more.

The Royal Palm offers 118 suites and resort amenities such as an on-site restaurant, swimming pool, poolside bistro, and a fitness center.
