Bluegreen Vacations Expands Its Offerings Through Acquisitions and New Builds

Vacation ownership leader Bluegreen Vacations has announced the company’s acquisition of a 320-room resort and spa in Panama City Beach as well as two buildings within Vail Resort in Vail, Colorado.
With the purchase complete, Bluegreen’s next plan is to convert the formally branded Sheraton resort and spa in Panama City from a 320-guestroom property to a 200-room property consisting of studios, one-bedroom suites, two-bedroom suites, and presidential suites. They will also be adding a new sales preview center as well as making enhancements to existing building exteriors, public areas, and more.
This Panama City Beach resort offers a variety of on-site amenities including four restaurants, a full-service spa, several pools, a private marina, and a private beach.
Previous to the Panama City Beach Resort and Spa acquisition, Bluegreen also acquired property at Streamside at Vail in July 2022. The two-building purchase adds 46 one-bedroom ad one-bedroom loft units to the brand’s portfolio where guests will also have access to a variety of amenities like a spa, a fitness center, a clubhouse, and local shuttle services. Renovations to the exterior, guestrooms, and infrastructure will start in early 2023.

As if the Panama City Beach and Vail acquisitions weren’t enough, Bluegreen’s has also recently broken ground on their newest Pigeon Forge resort. With an anticipated opening in 2024, the property will have 67 accommodation options including three-bedroom presidential suites with impressive in-room amenities and an on-site sales preview center.
